Lifetime Warranty

At NUVIK, we believe that a good leash is not only judged by how it looks on the first day but also by how it responds over time. That’s why, each original NUVIK® leash, handcrafted from vegetable-tanned leather and carefully selected materials, is backed by our Limited lifetime warranty.

This warranty exists because we fully trust our artisanal process, the quality of the materials, and the final result of each piece that leaves our workshop.

Scope of the warranty

The Limited Lifetime Warranty of NUVIK® covers exclusively manufacturing defects, considered as defects attributable to the artisanal process or materials used originally, always under normal, responsible, and appropriate conditions of use.

Among others, the following are covered:

• Structural leather failures due to material defects
  
• Breakage of stitching, braiding, or assembly due to manufacturing defect
  
• Defects originating in hardware such as carabiners, rings, or metal rivets
  
• Unusual separation of the leather not caused by external agents
  

This warranty applies only to products designed and manufactured by NUVIK®, when used for its intended purpose.

Other brand products sold through the NUVIK website are governed by the warranty conditions set by their respective manufacturers or distributors, in which case they are 3 years in accordance with current legislation, and are not covered by the NUVIK® Warranty, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Warranty exclusions

The warranty does not cover, without exception, situations resulting from normal use, natural wear, or improper handling of the product.

Natural leather wear

• Marks, scratches, or abrasions from use
  
• Darkening, patina, or tone changes
  
• Flexibility, softening, or aesthetic aging of the material
  

Natural leather evolves over time, and these changes are part of its character and authenticity.

External damage or mishandling

• Bites, cuts, or continuous rubbing
  
• Rough pulls, impacts, or extreme forces
  
• Use with dogs whose strength or weight exceeds the model’s recommendations
  
• Accidental hooking onto trees, vehicles, fences, or other objects
  

Environmental conditions

• Prolonged exposure to water, especially salty water
  
• Persistent humidity, mud, or improper drying
  
• Extreme heat or prolonged direct exposure to sunlight
  

Maintenance and handling

• Lack of basic leather care
  
• Use of non-recommended detergents, chemicals, or oils
  
• Modifications, adjustments, or repairs performed by third parties
  
• Alterations of the original product (cuts, perforations, changing hardware, etc.)

Customized modifications

NUVIK's lifetime warranty covers the product in its original configuration. If the customer requests custom modifications or additions (such as extra labels, decorative elements, or other special adjustments), the warranty does not cover the functionality, resistance, or potential breakage of these modifications. The rest of the product remains under lifetime warranty according to our usual conditions.

Intended use of the product

NUVIK® leashs are designed for handling, driving, and controlling the dog under direct supervision.

They are not intended for:

• Fixed or permanent tethering
  
• Securing the dog without supervision
  
• Dragging weight or using as a personal safety element
  
• Sports, professional, or work uses not specific to the purchased model
  

The correct selection of the model, width, and resistance appropriate for the dog is the responsibility of the customer.

Warranty evaluation

All products sent for review will be individually evaluated by NUVIK®.

In case of warranty acceptance, NUVIK may, at its sole discretion:

• Repair the product
  
• Replace it with the same model or an equivalent
  
• Offer a store credit proportional to the value of the product
  

The warranty does not imply automatic replacement or complete renewal of the product.

Shipping and expenses

• The shipment of the product to NUVIK is at the customer's expense.
• NUVIK will cover the return shipping only in case of approved warranty.
• In cases not covered, NUVIK may offer repair with prior estimate, with no obligation for customer acceptance.

Warranty duration and limits

Lifetime warranty is valid during the reasonable service life of the product, understood as the period in which it can perform its structural function under proper usage and maintenance conditions.

Intensive, abusive, or non-recommended use is not considered reasonable service life.

General conditions

• Warranty valid only for the original purchaser
• Non-transferable
  
• Applicable only to products purchased through official NUVIK® channels
  
• Requires proof of purchase or order identification
  
• NUVIK is not responsible for damages to third parties, animals, or property resulting from product use

Modifications

NUVIK® reserves the right to modify these conditions without prior notice; the applicable conditions at the time of purchase always apply.
